With the increasing demand for landfill space across the UK, more and more is being done to divert waste from ending up there. Everybody knows the importance of recycling plastics, metals and paper due to their high production costs and effect on the environment; but there are also growing pressures from Government legislation to divert organic food waste from ending up at landfill.

In order to do this, food processing, food manufacturers and waste recycling companies have to recover and recycle as much of this invaluable material as possible. The Cesaro Tiger HS 640 is an extremely versatile mobile system for de-packaging food waste, removing the organic fraction and separating this from any packaging. The machine is designed to be able to effectively separate and process organic waste from food waste collection and even expired packaged foodstuff so that anaerobic digestion, composting or organic waste treatment can take place.

The compact Cesaro Tiger HS 640 separates plastic and processed packaging using the wet or dry process, allowing organic fraction to be separated for secondary processing.

• Wet Process: This process involves the inclusion of fluids, which are pre-set and controlled by the user. The organic fraction obtained can be pumped into the system for further processing.

• Dry Process: This process separates the organic fraction from non-organic materials without requiring any process fluids.
